Beatrice "Beatty" M. Emanuel, 75, of 910 East Lexington Blvd., died Sunday, July 28, 1996 at Luther Hospital. Beatty was born February 4, 1921 at Ladysmith, Wisconsin to Leslie and Belle (Perkey) Yancey. She graduated from Ladysmith Senior High School with the class of 1939 and attended Chippewa Valley Technical College. Beatty married Charles "Chuck" R. Emanuel at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eau Claire on April 18, 1942. In 1983 she retired as an administrative assistant with the Eau Claire County Department of Human Services. She was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, active in its Altar Guild and was a member of Valparaiso University Auxiliary.\r\nSurvivors include her husband of fifty-four years, Chuck; two daughters, Suzi Emanuel of San Antonio, TX, and Jane Emanuel of Kalamazoo, MI; three grandchildren, Robert Meinz and Laura (Dave) Roelof both of Kalamazoo, MI, and Marc Emanuel of San Antonio, TX; a sister, Catherine (Joseph) Lee of Fort Worth, TX; two sisters-in-law, Bernice Yancey of Eau Claire and Lilleth Yancey of Wrangell, AK; several nieces and nephews.\r\nBeatty was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lyle and HaroldYancey\r\nHer family will remember her as an avid gardener, loving mother and devoted wife to Chuck, caring for him during his prolonged illness.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday at Epiphany Lutheran Church with Pastor Brent L. Parrish officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to Epiphany Lutheran Church Building Fund.
