BEATRICE MARIE KAUL, 84, formerly of 622 McDonough St.,Eau Claire,WI passed on to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 3, 1999 at the Syverson Lutheran Home. She was born June 8, 1914 in Hermansville, Michigan, the second of four children, to Gabriel and Delia (Massie) LaCasse. She grew up there graduating from Hermansville High School with the class of 1931. Beatrice met her husband, William "Kaul me Bill" Kaul, while he was traveling with his job in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. They were married on April 13, 1935 in Milwaukee. They lived in the Mequon area until moving to Eau Claire in 1946.\r\nShe worked in retail sales at Montgomery Wards, the Farmers Store and then at Lee's Uniform Center until her retirement in 1981. Following her retirement, Beatrice was a volunteer at the Chippewa Valley Museum. She had been a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and St. John's Lutheran Church. \r\nShe is survived by three sons, Russell (Susan) and Thomas (Darlene) both of Eau Claire and Henry of Honolulu,HI; two daughters, Joyce Kunde of Lakeland,MN, and Ede (Terry) Strand of Eau Claire; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Mabel LaCosse of Green Bay; a cousin, Albert (Doris) Campeau of Eau Claire; many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Bill in 1996; her parents; and two brothers, Robert and Howard LaCasse.\r\nBeatrice was an avid gardener, and loved to bake, sew, knit and crochet.\r\nFuneral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 8th at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eau Claire with Pastor Joel A. Hoelter officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery, Eau Claire. Friends may call 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Monday at the church.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to the Chippewa Valley Museum.
