Berniece Jane (Besch) Jaeschke, 85, of Eau Claire went into the arms of her Lord on Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at Luther Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Pewaukee, WI on January 6, 1922, the daughter of Otto and Anna (Dettman) Besch.\r\nFollowing graduation form Pewaukee High School, Berniece attended Business School in Milwaukee.\r\nBerniece married Thomas H. Jaeschke on March 2, 1946, and they celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this year.\r\nShe worked as the secretary/treasurer for 17 years at their food service engineering firm, T. H. Jaeschke&Associates Inc. of Brookfield.\r\nShe was active in her daughter's activities, her husband's business, Christian education, weaving, sewing, quilting, crocheting, traveling, and celebrating special occasions with her family.\r\nBerniece filled our lives with love and faith and her life is celebrated by her family, her church family, and her stitching friends.\r\nBerniece is survived by her husband, Tom; three daughters, Elaine (Robin) Jaeschke Kleffman of Redwing, MN, Carol Jaeschke Werner of Elk Mound, and Alice (Dale) Jaeschke Sand of Eau Claire; six grandchildren, Tom (Patti) Kleffman, Rachel (Keith) Kleffman Baker, Matthew and Mark Kleffman, Sam (Mara) Werner, and Kate (John) Werner Hanson; seven great-grandchildren, Nel, Claire, and Phoebe Kleffman, Ben and Emma Baker, Addison Werner, and Gabriela Hanson; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and four sisters.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 22, 2007, at Lake St. United Methodist Church with the Rev. Graham N. West officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to Lake St. United Methodist Church, 337 Lake St.PO Box 1205, Eau Claire, WI 54703.\r\n
