Beryl A. Donais, age 96 of Eau Claire, died peacefully on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Dove Health Care West in Eau Claire. Beryl was born to Harry and Agnes (Stai) Babington in Eau Claire on May 15, 1916. Beryl graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1934. She married Robert Donais on September 28, 1942. Robert died in 1982. Beryl was employed by F.W. Woolworth Company for 37 years. She was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church. Traveling and playing card games were two of her favorite pastimes. Beryl is survived by her son, Larry (Judith) Donais of Cameron, WI; daughter, Kay Magowan of Shorewood, WI; two granddaughters, Deborah (Matthew Breezee) Donais of Lake Hallie, WI and Tamara (William) Brunschmid of Chippewa Falls, WI; sister, Florence Ross of California; brother, Harry "Sam" (Marlys) Babington of Washington; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; three sisters, Irene Lokken, Doris Paulsen, and Harriet Thompson; one brother, William Babington; and a son-in-law, James Schuster. A Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, at Grace Lutheran Church, 202 West Grand Ave., Eau Claire, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Rolf Nestingen will be officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Eau Claire. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Reflections Wing of Dove Healthcare West, 1400 Truax Blvd., Eau Claire, WI 54703 or to the donor's choice.
