Beth Ann Candell, 53, of Eau Claire, lost her courageous battle with cancer on October 12, 2011, at home surrounded by her family. Beth was born on September 10, 1958, in Eau Claire to Robert and Peggy (Fausett) Breitzman. She graduated from Regis High School in 1977, and married Timothy P. Candell on November 5, 1977. Beth spent many years opening her home and heart to the children of whom she provided daycare. She then enjoyed working at Pleasant Company, Professional Educational Systems (PESI), and most recently at United Health Group. Beth enjoyed camping and hiking outdoors, artistic crafts and spending time tending to her flowers. She loved traveling with Tim to any of the National Parks, mountains and gulf coast. Above all, she loved spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Beth is survived by her husband of 34 years, Tim; children, Brad (Sarah), Matt (Nicole Ovik) and Kate (Christopher) Allen, all of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Caleb, Grant, and Adeline Candell; mother, Peggy Breitzman of Eau Claire; two sisters, Becky Oatman of Neillsville, WI and Barb (John) Rewald of Naples, FL; three brothers, Michael of Monticello, FL, Don of West Salem, WI and Bobby of Thomasville, GA; nephew Shawn (Shelly) Oatman of Eau Claire; and niece, Julie (Paul) Klein of Neillsville. She is further survived by mother-in-law, Kathleen Candell; brothers-in-law, Steve (Linda), Mike, Pat (Linda), Bill, Gerry (Pat), Mark (Patty) Candell, Pat Shea and Frank Oatman; sisters-in-law, Kathy (Paul) Lecher, Jeanne (Gary Wendt) Candell, Pat Candell, and Jeneen Candell; aunts and uncles; Randall Sanders; the many Candell nieces and nephews; and the daycare children with whom she considered her own. Beth was preceded in death by her father, Robert Breitzman; grandparents, Carl and Opal Fausett, and John and Florence Breitzman; father-in-law, William Candell, sisters-in-law, Nancy and Bea Candell. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon, Monday, October 17, 2011, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th St. in Eau Claire, with Monsignor Edmund Klimek officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2011, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home WEST CHAPEL, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., and one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
