IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beth Lorene
(Scheffler) Fisher
January 23, 1933 – April 23, 2025
Beth L. Fisher, 92, passed away, Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at her home surrounded by her six children. Beth was born January 23, 1933, in Eau Claire to Louis and Anne Scheffler. She was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School and also attended UW-Eau Claire prior to marrying Gerald Fisher on February 25, 1952, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, where they were active members throughout their 69 year marriage which ended with Jerry's passing in 2021. Family was Beth's greatest joy. She and Jerry raised six children, all of whom graduated from Regis High School. She was mom to an athletic family and so found herself watching three generations of Fishers compete in high school and college sports. She was an avid reader, an accomplished bridge player and to the delight of her family, an excellent cook. Little gave her more pleasure than preparing a family meal, large or small, holiday or "Packer Sunday." Beth was an intelligent, compassionate person who quietly and genuinely lived her faith. The ease with which she put others first made her a life-long role model for her entire family. Beth and Jerry loved to see as much family as possible enjoy the cottage on Upper Long Lake which they were able to do for nearly 50 years. However, many of her most pleasant times were when just the two of them were there alone enjoying each other and the lake's beauty and serenity. Beth was a treasured wife, mother and friend who remains forever in the hearts of those who love her. She is survived by her children, Janet (Dennis Erickson), Greg (Patti), John (Jeanne), Jerry (Cynthia), Mark (MaryAnne) and Tim (Roseann); grandchildren, Andy (Angela), Kate, Joe (Kelly), Madison (Josh), Matthew, MaryClaire, Marcella, Margaret, Emily (Dan), Nick, Sam, Grace and Ella; 10 great grandchildren; and sister, Margaret Sturz. Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, her parents, brother, Pat and sisters, Lenore and Karen. A mass of Christian Burial for private family was held at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, Eau Claire with Father Tom Krieg as celebrant. Inurnment was held at Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Francis Food Pantry or St. James Parish. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral & Cremation Services, Eau Claire is assisting the family.
