BETTY KATHERINE BARTLETT, age 80, died Wednesday, May 6, 1998 at the Clairemont Nursing Home. She was born on July 14, 1917 in Eau Claire to Arthur J. and Bertha (Rustad) Bartlett. Betty was a life long resident of Eau Claire, graduated from Eau Claire High School, and then worked for Northwestern Credit Bureaus. She later became Eau Claire's second Police Woman, a position held until her retirement in 1971. Betty was a member of Christ Church Cathedral. \r\nSurvivors include a cousin; Betty (Richard) Emanuel of Appleton, WI; their children; Barbara (Peter) Meiklejohn of Brookfield, WI, David (Sharie) Emanuel of Appleton, WI, Mary Jo Schull of Oak Creek, WI, and Susan Emanuel of Ft. Myers, FL. \r\nMemorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 29, 1998 at Christ Church Cathedral Chapel with The Very Rev. H. Scott Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home is serving the family.\r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials please be directed to Christ Church Cathedral.
