Betty R. Davis, age 84, died Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Care Partners Assisted Living in Eau Claire. She was born in Fairchild, WI on November 11, 1928, the daughter of Anton and Arlette (Santo) Varklick. Betty graduated from Fairchild High School in 1946. She married Dean Flick in Fairchild in 1946. He passed away in 1957. She married Stan Davis in 1983 in Las Vegas, NV. He passed away December 26, 2006. Betty was a homemaker and stay-at-home mother raising her seven children. Betty enjoyed bowling, dancing and traveling to Las Vegas, NV. She always liked spending time with her family, playing board games and cards. Betty is survived by her children, Richard (Ellen) Flick, Diane Stam, Gary (Cherrylyn) Flick, Cheri Flick, Ron Flick, and Paul (Jackie Basnight) Flick; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 sisters, Rita (Ken) Mayzik and Jeannie (Willie) Olson; a brother, David (Jan) Varklick; and son-in-law, Jim Broughton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and daughter, Jackie Broughton. Betty will be sadly missed by family and all who knew her. Memorial Services will be held at 5:30 on Monday, July 8th, 2013, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn West Chapel, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave, Eau Claire, WI, with Pastor Roger Galstad officiating. Inurnment will be in St John's Cemetery in Fairchild, WI, at a later date. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Monday.
