Betty Ione (Cameron) Loken, 83, of Eau Claire, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at Syverson Lutheran Home. She was born on July 28, 1918 in Eau Claire to the late William and Florence (Larson) Cameron. Shortly after World War I, Florence married Hugh Duffy, Betty's loving stepfather, whom she always referred to as "Daddy."\r\nShe graduated from St. Patrick's high school in 1936 and worked at Eau Claire Automotive Sales which was managed by Hugh Duffy. \r\nOn July 21, 1941 Betty married Byron James Loken in Waukon, Iowa. Byron served as Eau Claire Register of Deeds for over 35 years, and Betty assisted Byron at the office for many years. They celebrated their Golden Jamboree together on July 21,1991, before Byron passed away on August 8, 1994. \r\nBetty enjoyed golf, cooking, traveling, bird watching, and playing bridge. Betty was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished each new grandchild through the years.\r\nSurvivors include her four sons, Peter B. Loken of Green Bay, Thomas J. (Roberta) Loken, Richard A. (Rhonda) Loken and Mark C. (Debbie) Loken, all of Eau Claire; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth (Dan) Anderson, Chippewa Falls, Fred (Sue), Nick, Kristi, Scott, Eric and Evan Loken all of Eau Claire, Michael Loken Inver Grove Heights, MN, and Sara Loken Green Bay; three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Jeremy, and Faith Anderson of Chippewa Falls; brother, Brian Duffy of Racine; sister, Anna Marie (Don) Graham of Portland, Oregon; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.\r\nBetty was also preceded in death by her parents and stepfather; two brothers, Delos Cameron and John Duffy; two sisters, Mary Jane Cameron Zoranovich and Patricia Duffy; brother-in-law, George Zoranovich; sister-in-law, Irma Duffy; and two nephews, Michael Duffy and Mark Graham.\r\nFamily graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Forest Hill Cemetery with Father Janusz Kowalski of St. Patrick's Catholic Church officiating. Friends and relatives may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home. There will be a 6:30 p.m. Prayer Vigil on Sunday at the funeral home.
