BETTY JEAN STELTER, 68, 626 McDonough St., Eau Claire, died Tuesday, November 7, 2000 at her residence. She was born on March 1, 1932 in Eau Claire to Albert and Alice (Clark) Stelter. \r\nBetty Jean graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1950. She worked as a telephone operator and later as a clerk for Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company until her retirement in 1983. \r\nBetty was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Telephone Company Vacationland Pioneers.\r\nSurvivors include her sister, Margaret (Gordon) Barton of Arlington, TX; two sisters-in-law, Susie Anderson of Eau Claire and Nancy Stelter of Chippewa Falls; a brother-in-law, Leon Dettman, Plano, IL; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert Stelter and Richard A. Stelter; and two sisters, Alice Dettman and Carol Stelter.\r\nMemorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday November 13, 2000 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Pastor Joel A. Hoelter officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery in the Town of Washington. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
