Betty A. (Bylander) Zell, 92, of Eau Claire, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Dove Healthcare – West Eau Claire Rehabilitation Facility. Betty was born in Eau Claire WI, and graduated in 1944 from Central High School. She worked as a secretary for many years at Shedd Brown Manufacturing, married David Zell in June of 1974, and retired in 1988 from Luther Hospital. Betty enjoyed texting, spending time with family, and having luncheon dates with her friends. She enjoyed watching Hallmark shows in the evenings and every Sunday morning she watched Church Services. She will be missed by her husband, David of Eau Claire, WI; sister-in-law, Marge Penning of Janesville, WI; 3 step-children, Wade (Nancy) Zell (Jeanne Coppins) of Sun City, AZ, Wendy Zell of Janesville, WI, Marc (Janice) Zell of Thorp, WI; 10 grandchildren, Jody, Jeff (Elisa), Jay (Tudy), Jennifer, Jamie (Ryan), Tarynne, Heather (Erik), Sonya, Matthew (Alyssa), and Mariah; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Kyerstan, Katy, Joni, Ethan, Isaac, Jayden, Crandyn, Jocob, Caitlyn, Josh, Troy and Ryan. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Bessie Bylander. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018, at the WEST CHAPEL location of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave, with Rev. David J. Irgens officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
