Obituary

Beverly A. Andreas, age 98, died peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Chippewa Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation.

Beverly was born on May 30, 1927, in the Town of Wheaton, Chippewa County, Wisconsin. She was the only child of Theodore (Ted) and Lorraine (Kreiling) Roehling. She graduated from McDonell High School in 1944. After graduation, she worked in the office at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls. In 1947, she began working at Employer’s Insurance in Wausau, Wisconsin. While in Wausau, she met the love of her life, William (Bill) Andreas. They were married on August 23, 1952, at St Charles Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. Following their marriage, Bev, Bill, and their 4 children lived in the Eau Claire area.

After Bill’s retirement, Bill and Bev traveled extensively—making friends along the way-- visiting Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Fiji, Tahiti, Kenya, Costa Rica, Alaska, Europe, eastern, central, and western Canada, and many states of the United States. They enjoyed spending time with family and friends, family vacations in the Winnebago motorhome, gardening, playing games such as cribbage, Scrabble, 99, and Farkle. Beverly was very creative, enjoying quilting, painting, making stained glass pieces, and knitting.

Bev was proud to be a member of her area Homemaker’s Club as well as the St. James PCCW. She enjoyed volunteering on the St. James Prayer Tree. She and Bill were volunteer money counters, too, at St. James for many years. She was active in the Parents’ Organization for Hearing-Impaired Children, and volunteered as a textbook reader for students at UW-EC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, and grandson Samuel Rheault. She is survived by children Sue (Chuck) Cosgrove of Augusta WI and Rochester, MN; Bill (Donna) Andreas, Derby, KS; Sara Wieland (Michael) of Litchfield, MN; Sheryl (Robert) Golin of Medina, MN; Grandchildren Jennifer (Michael) Neel, William J. (Rachel) Andreas, Amanda (Chad) McCutcheon; Garret Andreas, Christopher Smith, Charles (Kearsten) Smith, Angelina and Emmalee Andreas; Henry and Clarice Rheault, Luc and Thomas Golin; Great-grandchildren Caleb (Lauren) Strohminger, Bayley (Colton) Crockett, Mia Johnson, Talen, and Colton Neel, Britton, Brynlee, and Lillian McCutcheon, Eve and William Smith, Paisley and William Owen Andreas, Great Greatgrandchildren Lukas Johnson and Collins Jane Strohminger.

Special thanks to the staffs of Mayo Palliative Care, Chippewa Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation, and St. Croix Hospice for their tender, compassionate care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon, on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at St. James the Greater Catholic Church (2502 11th Street, Eau Claire, WI).
