Beverly "Bev" M. Bridges, 85, of Eau Claire, died peacefully on Friday, January 1, 2016 surrounded by her family at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. Bev was born in Eau Claire, WI on January 19, 1930, to Clifford and Mildred (Beaulieu) Bennett. She graduated from St. Patrick's High School with the class of 1948. Bev married her high school sweet heart, Peter Bridges, on October 21, 1950 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Eau Claire. Together, they raised four children in Altoona, where they lived for 32 years before their retirement on Silver Lake in Trego, WI. Bev worked as a portrait color artist for Aanes Studio for many years and was a homemaker. Bev loved to shop at Kmart. Bev was a Brownie Leader, sang in the church choir and was involved in the PTA in Altoona. Bev is survived by her four children, Randy Bridges of Altoona, Vicki (Barry) Rice of Colfax, Mark (Nancy) Bridges of Eau Claire, and Jami (Greg) Kotecki of Eau Claire; eight grandchildren, Angela (Mike) Kalina, Christopher (Josefa Mellor) Bridges, Kaycee (Michael) Aplington, Kaitlin (Justin Faldet) Bridges, Amanda (Mike Hencley) Bridges, Andrew (Kim) Kotecki, Nicholas (Teresa Kasper) Kotecki, and Megan (Ty) Fadness; five great-grandchildren, Liam Kotecki, Emma Kalina, Marley Bridges, Jax Fadness, and Henry Kalina; her special sister-in-law Jean Bridges; and many other relatives. Bev is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Peter; her infant brother James; and her infant great-grandson Wyatt. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 11am at St. Olaf Catholic Church 3220 Monroe St, Eau Claire, WI, with Father Paul Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Resurrection Mausoleum, in Eau Claire.
