Beverly "Auggie" Elaine Champion, 54, of Union Township, died peacefully on February 6, 2006, at her home.\r\nShe was born July 7, 1951 in Eau Claire, the daughter of Ervin and Elaine (Sielaff) Dodge. She graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School in 1969. \r\nBev married Craig S. Champion on October 25, 1969, in Eau Claire.\r\nShe enjoyed playing cards and games, and also spending time with her family and friends on Lake Holcombe. Bev was an avid bargain shopper and rooster collector. \r\nBev was a member of Truax Congregational United Church of Christ and also of the Eau Claire Christian Women's Club.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Craig; a son, Jeff (Alysia Nelson) of Eau Claire; a daughter, Wendy (Tony) Espeseth of Holcombe; a special granddaughter, Nicole Espeseth of Eau Claire; three brothers, Norman (Linda) Dodge of Eleva, Ervin Dodge Jr. of Fall Creek, and Richard (Vicki) Dodge of Eau Claire; two sisters, Nancy Schuch of Eau Claire, and Mary (Ken) Johnston of Berthoud, CO; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Thomas and Steven.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2006, at Truax Congregational United Church of Christ with Rev. David Stratton officiating. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at church.\r\nShe will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.\r\n
