Beverly J. Knutson, age 93, of Eau Claire, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Dove Healthcare – West, with her family by her side. Beverly was born on December 22, 1924, in St. Paul, MN, to Alphonse and Alma Kronberg. Beverly graduated from St. Francis Hospital - School of Nursing in La Crosse, WI, in 1946. She married Robert L. Knutson on February 1, 1946. She worked at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire after raising her six children. Beverly has been a long-time member of St. James the Greater Catholic Church. She was also a member at the Eau Claire YMCA where she enjoyed swimming and the fitness center. Bob and Bev traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe. They went from Mexico with their children to enjoying the peace and quiet of Alaska in their mid-70's. Her favorite travel partners were Len and Lorraine Knutson. Beverly enjoyed gardening and grew beautiful zinnias and clematis. She also enjoyed reading, going for walks, and being with her family. Beverly spent a lot of time at the LE Phillips Senior Center socializing with a good group of friends. Survivors include her children, J. (Ricci) Knutson of Antioch, TN, Sue Zukaitis of Maplewood, MN, Jane (Dan) Pedersen of Menomonie, WI, Margaret (Dan) Muleski of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, John (Diane) Knutson of Duluth, MN; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents; son, Jeff Knutson; and grandson, Brian Knutson. Memorial donations may be made in Beverly's name to the LE Phillips Senior Center, 1616 Bellinger St., Eau Claire, WI 54703; Eau Claire YMCA, 700 Grand Ave, Eau Claire, WI 54701; or Feed My People Food Bank, 2610 Alpine Road Eau Claire, WI 54703. Beverly's family would like to thank the staff at Orchard Hills Assisted Living for the great care they provided. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th St, Eau Claire, with Christine Warloski officiating.
