Beverly Mae Larson, 78, of 1517 Eddy Lane, Eau Claire passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Sacred Heart Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 25, 1929, in Eau Claire to Glen and Mabel (Armstrong) Gust. \r\nOn April 10, 1948, she married Donald G. "Ronnie" Larson in Eau Claire. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in 2006. Donald preceded her in death on June 21, 2006.\r\nBev was a "jack of all trades" to those who knew her. She was her husband's right hand "woman" you might say. She worked side by side with her husband from helping him build their family homestead from the basement up, fixing cars or anything else that needed her helping hands.\r\nShe enjoyed reading, camping, traveling, thrift sales, cooking, canning, baking, crocheting, knitting, and sewing for her children, grandchildren, and friends. Beverly and Donald enjoyed wintering in Yuma, Arizona in their latter years, and the friendships made along the way.\r\nWe will miss her smile, warmth, kindness, patience, and the example of what a good wife and mother should be. We will miss her graham cracker and banana cream pies, many different cookies, Hershey oatmeal bars, black magic cake, cinnamon rolls, and mostly her presence and unconditional love.\r\nBeverly will be missed by her five children, Cheryl (Richard) Putzy and Steven Larson both of Eau Claire, Dean (Nancy) Larson of Sheboygan Falls, Julie (Timothy) Piel of Sheboygan, and Jerry (Jennifer) Larson of Hartland; eleven grandchildren, Kevin and Craig Putzy of Eau Claire, Jason (Becky) Stewart of Oostburg, Matthew Larson of Sheboygan, Krystal Larson of Sheboygan Falls, Scott Piel of Eau Claire, Shane Piel of Sheboygan, Daniel and Bradly Larson of Weston, and Jaymz and Alex Larson of Hartland; three great grandchildren, Cody, Liam, and Lucas Stewart of Oostburg; sister, Donna Sly and sister-in-law, Sonja Golden both of Eau Claire; and nieces and nephews. \r\nShe was also preceded in death by her parents; and infant son, James Allen.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2008, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Rev. Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.\r\n"We wanted to come along, but you said you couldn't wait. So rest my dear till we see you again. Thank you for loving us and being our friend. You will be sadly missed but carried in our hearts forever." \r\nA special thank you to the staff at Sacred Heart Hospital for their wonderful care.\r\nIn lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in her name.
