Beverly A. Olson, 80, of Eau Claire, went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 07, 2016. Bev was born in Eau Claire, WI on January 19, 1936, a daughter of Jake and Hazel (Vefald) Johnson. On September 30, 1955, Beverly married Larrie Olson at First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Bev worked at Wisconsin Bell and later at Hoepner's Bakery and Mega Foods in the bakery department until her retirement. Bev loved bowling, playing cards, painting ceramics, knitting blankets and afghans and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. She sang in the "Sweet Adelines" as well as several church choirs. Bev loved spending time with her family especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bev also enjoyed going "up north" with the families to the cabin in Chetek. Bev is survived by her four children, Ronda (Marc) Putzy of River Falls, David (Colleen) Olson of Oshkosh, Cindy (Dale Johnson) Buckli of Eau Claire and Chuck (Kim) Olson of Eau Claire; nine grandchildren, Tricia, Tara (Dane), Brian, Sarah, Emily (Jaime), Jake (Caitlin), Nate, Jennifer (Sergio) and Christy; and six great-grandchildren, Adriana, Aiden, Aida, Gracie, Weston, and Ames; two step-grandchildren Samuel (Kim) Bradley, of Wrightstown, WI and William Bradley, of Oshkosh, WI; sister, Mary Howard, of Eau Claire; brother, Tom (Sandy) Johnson, of Eau Claire; brother-in-law Lyle Baker, of Topeka, KS; special friends Paul and Sylvia Dietzler, of Richfield, MN; and also by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larrie in 2014; parents Jake and Hazel Johnson; mother and father-in-law, William and Florence Olson; brothers, Dick and Jerry (Carol) Johnson; and sister, Millie Baker. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the Piano-Organ Fund at Faith Lutheran Mission Church where Beverly was a member, 1704 Hogeboom Ave, Eau Claire, WI. The family would like to express appreciation to the staff at Mayo Clinic Health System – Eau Claire, especially the nurses, for Beverly's care during her stay. Funeral services will be held at 11 am, July 12, 2016, at Lutheran Church of St. Matthew, 1915 Hogeboom Ave., Eau Claire, WI with Pastor Nick Henseler officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2016, at the downtown location of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire, WI, and again one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the Church.
