Bill L. Peterson, 52, of Eau Claire, died Thursday, September 25, 1997 at the Myrtle Werth Hospital in Menomonie. He was born June 16, 1945 to Vernon and Emma (Weippert) Peterson in Eau Claire. Bill graduated from Memorial High School with the Class of 1963. He served six years in the Wisconsin National Guard. He had worked as a certified nursing assistant at Lakeside Nursing and Rehabilitation in Chippewa Falls.\r\nSurvivors include a son, Bill Rude of Hartford, CT; two daughters, Joey (Scott) Gibson of Oakdale,MN, and Sheila Peterson of Lakeville,MN; three grandchildren, Steve, Nicole and Alexa; a brother Terry Peterson of Hudson, two nephews, Troy and Torry of Hudson; and special friend Lynn Meyer of Menomonie.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents.\r\nMemorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Lake Street United Methodist Church, with Pastor Kent P. Ingram officiating. Burial will be in Brunswick Cemetery in the Town of Brunswick. Friends may call noon Saturday until time of services at the church.\r\nLenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home assisted the family.
