Billy L. Dodge, 78 of Eau Claire, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 05, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. Bill was born to Thomas and Myrtle Dodge and was the youngest of seven children. He married Ann B. Edington, on July 23, 1952, in Stillwater, MN. They had a daughter, Grace. Bill worked in construction for most of his life. Aside from work, he had a passion for horses; raising, training and judging them. He was a well-respected horse judge in Eau Claire with the WSCA and POA as well as judging for 4-H. He and Ann spent weeks every year traveling to Colorado, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming whether it was just sight-seeing, picking peaches and cherries, or fishing for trout. While they lived in Hill City, SD, there home was always open to relatives, friends or friends of friends. Losing Ann on April 1, 2013, was very difficult for him. Bill is survived by his daughter, Grace (Duane) Johnson, grandsons, Travis (Kristi) Johnson and Chadley (Christine) Johnson; and his very special great-granddaughter, Berkley. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Grace Dodge; along with nieces and nephews. Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Ann; parents; sisters, Florence, Margaret and Betty; and brothers, Ervin, LaVerne and Elmer. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Avenue, Eau Claire.
