Blaine "Tug" Benjamin Manor, 84, of Eau Claire died Thursday, May 26, 2005, at the Clairemont Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born on June 11, 1920, in Eau Galle Township, Dunn County, the son of David and Hattie (Hoyt) Manor. \r\nHe served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942 until his honorable discharge in 1945.\r\nBlaine married Loretta E. Wachter. He was employed at Uniroyal Tire Company as a tire builder until his retirement in 1977.\r\nHe enjoyed fishing and many outdoor sports.\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Loretta; son, David (Susan) of Eau Claire; daughter, Elise (Nicholas) Russo of Colfax; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, Elwood (Lorraine) Manor of Menomonie; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Delien; two brothers, Norman and Ray Manor; and three sisters, Pearl Luther, Hazel Prissel and Etta Kraft;\r\nFuneral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Gordon Thorpe officiating. VFW Post #305 will conduct military honors at the funeral home. Burial will be Clear View Cemetery, Eau Galle Township, Dunn County. Friends and relatives may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services on Tuesday.\r\nBlaine's family requests memorials are directed to White Pine Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, S3091 Oak Knoll Road, Fall Creek, WI 54742.
