Bonnie Mae Newman, age 83, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 10, 1943 in Winona, Minnesota to Erwin & Nora (Viken) Sobeck. Bonnie lived a spirited life being married to her love Charles for 63 years and raising 7 beautiful children.

She embodied resilience, faith and a devotion to her family. She had a passion for music stemming from early childhood becoming an Accordion Virtuoso over her lifetime. She truly enjoyed it. Always up for a new adventure, she embraced places where people were celebrating life, wherever there was singing, dancing, music and energetic lively gatherings. Equally she loved her weekends in Hayward visiting with family and friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Nora and Erwin Sobeck; daughter, Carmela Duex; granddaughter, Chelsea Duex and daughter in law, Leticia Gonzalez Newman.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Newman; sons, Paul, Dirk (Melissa) and Nick (Chelsy) Newman; son in law, Paul Duex; her daughters, Krystal (Curt) Larson, Tammy (Scott) Christopherson and Samantha Newman; beloved grandchildren, Tony (Maria), Landon and Seth (Liv) Larson, Hannah Duex (Carmela & Paul), Makenzy and Brennen Christopherson (Tammy), Jack, Claire and Luke Newman (Dirk), Olivia, Sophia and Ben Newman (Nick) and great grandchildren Nora and Blake Larson (Landon) and Oskar Larson (Tony).

Bonnie Mae leaves behind a legacy of faithful unconditional love, a spirit of adventure and a determination to celebrate the life GOD has graciously given you, that will inspire her family for generations to come.

In honor of final wishes, an intimate family visitation and memorial mass with rosary will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Eau Claire, WI with Father Francis Thadathil officiating.

Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
