Bonnie L. Nowak, 68, of the town of Union, peacefully went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 27, 2003 at Luther Hospital. She was born in Eau Claire on July 29, 1934, the daughter of Walter and Lilly (Hanson) Ming. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1952.\r\nBonnie married Shirley J. Nowak in Eau Claire on December 2, 1961.\r\nShe was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Shirley; two daughters, Marjorie (Gene) Rolland of Stoughton and Barbara (Rich) Armstrong of Lawrenceville, GA; three sons, L. Joseph (Carol) of Green Bay, Donald and Steven, both of Eau Claire; nine grandchildren, Heather, Jesse and Josiah Rolland, Austin, Sally and Jenny Armstrong and Andrew, Amy and Peter Nowak; three brothers, LeRoy (Judy) and Gary, both of Eau Claire and Vernon (Diane) of Fall Creek; a brother-in-law, Donald (Iva Mae) of Santa Ana, CA; an uncle, Ray (Jean) Ming of Cincinnati, OH; her special aunt, Vi Barrett of Eau Claire; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her special friends Bernice Christopherson and Laurie Pichler, both of Elk Mound.\r\nBonnie was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James; and a sister, Virginia Ming.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2003 at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd with Pastor John E. Hosmann officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd Elevator Fund.
