BONNIE R. PETERSON, 80, of 3209 Gary Lane, died Thursday, May 21, 1998 at Luther Hospital. She was born February 6, 1918 to Edward E. and Grace (Cochran) Parker in Genoa, Nebraska. At the age of three, Bonnie moved with her family to Wisconin where she grew up in Albertville and Running Valley, graduating from Colfax High School in 1935. On September 6, 1936, she married Harold A. Peterson in Seattle, WA. They returned to settle in Eau Claire in 1944. One of Bonnie's favorite hobbies was flower-gardening; she enjoyed very much spending leisure time in her garden.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Harold; two sons, Mike (Charleen) of Phoenix, AZ, and Jim of Lockport, IL; three grandsons, Dr. Mark (Arlene), Steven (Tracey), and Dan (Lea) Peterson; three granddaughters, Wendy Peterson, Michelle Peterson, and Shanely Bowers; six great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sonja Bowers; two brothers, Edward L. Parker and Clyde Parker; and a step-brother, Edwin Parker.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church with Pastor Gary F. Sahs officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.\r\nThe family requests memorials please be directed to Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
