Boyd A. Coulson, 50, of Eau Claire, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at his home. \r\nHe was born in Minneapolis, MN, on August 28, 1959, the son of William and Lorraine (DeWall) Coulson. \r\nBoyd graduated from Superior High School in 1977. He then went on to attend the University of Wisconsin Superior, earning a bachelors degree in criminal justice. \r\nBoyd loved riding his motorcycle. He would take many trips to other states visiting family and friends. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed cooking, dogs, and participated in many church activities while growing up in Superior. He worked for several years in medical transport where he really enjoyed helping and working with his clients.\r\nHe is survived by his parents; two brothers, Brian (Linda) Coulson of Prior Lake, MN, Bruce (Mimi) Coulson of Houston, TX; a sister, Marcia (David) Vining of Ignacio, CO; Brian's children, Robert, Shannon, and Ryan; Marcia's children, Andrew, Devin, Sarah, and Jamie; and many other relatives and friends.\r\nBoyd was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, and uncles.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 2 PM Monday, October 12, 2009, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, with Pastor Jim McKay and Nate Oldenkamp officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 PM till time of service at 2 PM. A private family burial will be held in Belmond, IA, at a later date. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
