Brenda Jean Zimmerman, 56, of Richfield, MN, and formerly of Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at University of Minnesota Hospital, Fairview Campus, in Minneapolis.\r\nShe was born in Eau Claire on April 26, 1950, the daughter of Alvin and Margaret (Dudenhoefer) Zimmerman. Brenda was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She graduated from North High School in 1968.\r\nBrenda was a Medical Technician at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls for 22 years.\r\nBrenda's hobbies included sewing, knitting, baking goodies for those she loved. She was devoted to her nieces and nephews. Above all, Brenda loved spending time with her family and attending large family functions. \r\nThroughout all of her medical challenges, Brenda maintained an optimistic outlook which was infectious to all around her. \r\nSurvivors include four sisters, Beverly (Palmer) Watson of Menomonee Falls, WI, JoAnn (Robert) Olson of Richfield, MN, Sandra (Jack) White of Chippewa Falls, and Mary (Joe) Darrington of Blaine, MN; a brother, Ronald (Shirley) Zimmerman of Shoreview, MN; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2006, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, with the Rev. Joel Hoelter officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services, Saturday, at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving the family.
