Brett David Peterson passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025 of a heart attack at his residence in Bradenton, FL. Brett was born on April 22, 1969 to David and Jane (Grysko) Peterson in Eau Claire, WI.

Brett went to Memorial High School, graduating in1987. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, receiving his Business Administration and Economics degree in 1992, he studied Environmental and Public Health and received a Master of Sciences in 2000. At the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire he was in Who's Who in the Environmental and Public Health and lecturer in the program. He also, taught Environmental Law (Codes & Regulations). While attending the university, Brett worked at Jennico.

He lived in Plant City, Florida - Chillicothe, Missouri (where he taught at North Central Missouri College in Trenton, Missouri) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida before moving to Bradenton, Florida. There he worked as an Environmental & Public Health Supervisor II at the Dept. of Health-Manatee, and received a 20-year certificate.

The Packers and Badgers were his favorite teams in both football & basketball. He was quite the soccer fan with Arsenal his favorite team along with, Tampa Bay Rowdies, & Sarasota Gooners. He traveled to London with his dear life-long buddy, Matt, to see the soccer atmosphere. He loved to read and discuss all subjects with all people. He also enjoyed attending concerts. Brett had a very pleasant personality.

Brett is survived by his parents; David and Jane; uncle, David Pardue III and aunt, Suzanne Pardue of Edmund, Oklahoma along with many cousins.

Brett was preceded in death by his grandparents; Michael & Helen Grysko, Milton & Cornelia Peterson; uncle, Clayton Nibaur and aunt, Jeanette Nibaur.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 1-3 p.m. at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services, 814 First Ave, Eau Claire, WI 54703. Online condolences may be shared at www.lenmarkfh.com. In lieu of flowers, please give to the charity of your choice.
