Brian Michael Risler, 52, of Altoona, WI, died on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. He was born on May 2, 1963, to George and Janet (Stearns) Risler. Brian was employed at Silver Springs until his illness. He fought a long courageous battle with diabetes, and most recently cancer. Brian loved to play bingo, go hunting, fishing, camping and go to all country music festivals. He was an avid Packer fan, everything in his home was in packers, even his Christmas tree. He loved being with his family, friends, nieces and nephews. He was always willing to help everyone. Brian is survived by his father, George (Donna); brothers and sisters, Steven (Lyn), Colleen Smith (Mike), Allen (Sue) and David (fiancé Sue); step-sisters, Janelle Kexel and Jamie Fallon; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet in 1983; and his grandparents. In lieu of flowers, memorial are preferred in honor of Brian's memory. The family would like to have relatives and friends wear Packer attire to the Celebration of Brian's Life that will be held at the VFW Post 305, 1300 Starr Ave. in Eau Claire, on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, from 4 to 7 p.m.
