Bruce Martinson, age 60, went home to the Lord, on Friday, June 7, 2013, at his home in Eau Claire, following years of chronic pain. Bruce was born on July 22, 1952, at Minneapolis Swedish Hospital to Donelly and Colleen (Schwert) Martinson. He grew up in Eau Claire and was confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in 1967. He attended Memorial High School until 10th grade and graduated from Faribault High School in MN, with the class of 1970. He enjoyed volunteering time at church as an altar boy and earning numerous badges as a Boy Scout. After school, Bruce attended the Minnesota School of Business for 1 year before receiving the call to serve in the U.S. Army for a dedicated 15 ½ years.
