Calvin N. Capelle, 84, of Eau Claire, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. \r\nHe was born in Loyal, WI on April 20, 1927, the son of Phillip and Martha (Blado) Capelle. \r\nCalvin married Anstice "Ann" B. Mikelson on October 14, 1950, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.\r\nHe worked for the City of Eau Claire until his retirement. Calvin enjoyed various woodworking projects and traveling with his wife all over the 50 States, Canada, Mexico and Europe. \r\nCalvin is survived by his wife, Ann of Eau Claire; a daughter, Priscilla Capelle-Haehn of Bloomer; a brother, Delmer (Violet) Capelle of Loyal, WI; sisters, Ada Campbell of Eau Claire and Dorothy (Bob) Herdrich of Eau Claire; and many nieces, nephews and friends. \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Terry. \r\nFuneral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
