Carol I. Argue, 84, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on New Year's Day, January 1, 2006.\r\nShe was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1921, in Madison, Wisconsin to Martin E. Nelson and Mae C. (Halverson) Nelson. She married Allan S. Argue on August 29, 1942, at Grace Methodist Church in Belleville, Wisconsin. \r\nShe taught dance at Dedrickson's Dance Studio in Madison, Wisconsin. After their marriage she continued as a dance instructor. Carol and Allan lived and raised their family in Madison, Wisconsin. Allan passed away December 10, 1968. She worked for the Madison Metropolitan School District for more than 25 years as a Special Education Program Aide for students with special physical and educational needs. \r\nUpon retirement she volunteered her time to Bethany Methodist Church in Madison. She moved to Eau Claire in 1990 where she became an active member of Lake Street United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. Carol loved life and was forever young. Her avid love for music and dance kept her vibrant. Her kindness to all people and God's creation came naturally. Carol enjoyed helping and giving to others and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. \r\nCarol is survived by two daughters, Cheryl A. Winchester and her family of New Mexico and Susan (Allen ) Staves of Eau Claire; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Allan; her parents; two brothers, Stanley M. Nelson and Russell D. Nelson; a sister, Lillian Aide; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and many friends, including Ruth Harris, who was like a sister to her.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2005, at Lake Street United Methodist Church, Eau Claire, with Rev. E. Doyle Blanton officiating. Burial will be in Montrose Pioneer Cemetery near Belleville, WI. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
