Carol J. Brown, 69, of Eau Claire died Sunday, July 8, 2007, at her daughter's home in the town of Wheaton. She was born in Rhinelander, Wisconsin on June 14, 1938, the daughter of Frank and Alice (Mikalauski) Dervetski. \r\nCarol left Rhinelander in 1954 when she moved to Milwaukee where she married David E. Brown on November 12, 1955. She worked as a nurse prior to starting their family of five beautiful children. Throughout 47 years of marriage Carol and David lived in Oklahoma , Illinois, California and returned to Eau Claire in 1992.\r\nShe is survived by four children, Ron-Elizabeth Brown of Mesa, AZ, Randy (Kristi) Brown and Renee (Dan) Hays both of Eau Claire, and Rachele (David) Custer of Anacortes, WA; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, James Eades of Calumet City, ILL, and Dennis (Karen) Dervetski of Park Falls, WI; and nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David; and her son, Ricky. \r\nCarol was a very devoted wife, exceptional mother to her children, and proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed deeply within our hearts.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor David J. Irgens officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday (Today) and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.\r\n
