Carol A. Fletty, 59, of Eau Claire died Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at her residence. She was born on June 6, 1943 in Eau Claire the daughter of Arthur and Adelia (Erdman) Severson. Carol graduated from Memorial High School in 1961. \r\nShe received her nursing degree at Luther Hospital School of Nursing in 1965 and was a registered nurse there 36 years. \r\nCarol married George "Dave" Fletty on November 13, 1965 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.\r\nHer many interests included gardening, genealogy and her grandchildren.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Dave; son, Joe (Dawn) Fletty; daughter, Sue (Dean Peterson) Fletty; four grandchildren, Sean, Josh, Carolyn and Catherine; her mother, Adelia Severson all of Eau Claire; two brothers, Don (Sharon) Severson of Arden Hills, MN and Wayne (Nita) Severson of Clear Lake; five brothers-in-law, Jerry (Earna) Fletty of Vancouver, WA, Pete (Karen) Fletty of Pueblo, CO, Don (Tootie) Fletty, Paul (Charlie) Fletty and LaVerne "Buster" Fletty all of Eau Claire; five sisters-in-law, Margaret of Eau Claire, Cathy (Mitch) Olson of Madison, Pat (Jim) MacLaughlin of Altoona, Mary (Rich) Lindner of Brackett, and Mary Lee Fletty of Eau Claire.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Severson; and three brothers-in-law, Tom, Joe, and John Fletty.\r\nMemorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2002 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Sister Margaret Trzebiatowski officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
