Carol A. Harrison, age 64, of Eau Claire, WI, died, Monday, October 19, 2015 at her home in Eau Claire after a courageous battle with cancer. Carol was born December 4, 1950 in Eau Claire, WI to John H. and Doris E. (Miles) Smith. Carol was a graduate of Memorial High School in Eau Claire and went on to attend Eau Claire Technical Institute in Eau Claire. Carol married Richard L. Harrison on October 18, 1969 in Eau Claire, WI. Carol was a stay at home mom for several years and lovingly babysit other children at her home. During this time, Carol was also the Bookkeeper and Receptionist for their business, Lee's Pick-Up Service. She did this for numerous years until her children were older and then took a position as at Teller at M&I Bank in Eau Claire, where she worked at for about ten years. After a brief "time off" Carol went back to work, this time at a McDonald's restaurant and ended her work career after twenty years. Over the years Carol loved to go Square Dancing with her husband and also enjoyed playing cards. Her greatest joy in life, was spending time with her children and grandchildren and attending as many of the events they participated in throughout the yearsl Carol is survived by her four children, Amy (Bill) Seipel of Nekoosa, Brooks (Tracy) Harrison of Eau Claire, Rob (Jen) Harrison of Cameron and Brian (Trisha Edwards) Harrison of Madison; ten grandchildren, Elizabeth, Abby, Erynn "Charlie" and Emma Seipel, Paighton, Hannah, Drew, Hunter, Deklynd and Marshall Harrison; one sister, Ann (Fred) Siebenshuh of Elk Mound; one brother, Pat (Cathy) Smith of Eau Claire; and several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, John and Doris (Miles) Smith; and her husband, Richard "Dick" (2012). Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 a.m, Friday, October 23, 2015 at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 310 Broadway St, Eau Claire, WI, with Rev. Dr. Mark X. Pirazzini officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave, Eau Claire, WI and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire, WI. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving the family.
