Carol A. Meservey, 69, of Chetek died Monday, January 21, 2008, at Bloomer Community Memorial Hospital.\r\nShe was born in Chippewa Falls, WI, on December 28, 1938, the daughter of Richard and Gertrude (Lambert) Frank.She graduated from Regis High School in Eau Claire in 1957.\r\nCarol married Derrell C. Meservey on October 5, 1957, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.\r\nShe was very active in the family business and raising her four sons. \r\nCarol attended Good Samaritan Church in Cameron. \r\nHer hobbies included fishing and gardening. She will be remembered as a person who was willing to help anyone.\r\nCarol is survived by her three sons, Lee (Cindy) of Amery, WI, David (Marilyn) of Greenfield, WI, and Lloyd Meservey of Chetek; ten grandchildren, Josh, Ben and Casey Meservey, David and JoAnn Meservey, Sylvana, Amanda, and Lloyd Meservey, and Christina and Jaymie Meservey; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard (Judy) Frank of Colfax, and Tom (Diane) Frank of La Crosse; three sisters, Joyce (Clifford) Bowman of Eau Claire, Sue (Dave) Miller of Eau Claire, and Mary (Tom) Theide of Brookfield, WI; and by many other relatives and friends.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Derrell; and her son, James.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2008, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. Eau Claire, with Rev. Gene Stodola officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home and again Thursday, one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
