She had been at Sacred Heart Hospital receiving care for lung disease by a caring and compassionate staff. \r\nCarol was born in Eau Claire, WI on December 18, 1927, the daughter of Lester and Harriet (Hrubesch) Holbrook. She attended Eau Claire Senior High School where she graduated in 1945 and soon was on to a career with the Eau Claire Telephone Company as an operator. On her way to Michigan via train to her new career, she met her husband to be Elmer Boettcher. They were married on November 18, 1946, in Eau Claire. Elmer Boettcher passed away in 1991. \r\nCarol married Edward J. Para on November 23, 1992, in Las Vegas, NV.
