Obituary

CAROL M. STELTER, 56, of 626 McDonough St., Eau Claire died Wednesday, May 17, 2000 at Dove Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on December 28, 1943 to Albert and Alice (Clark) Stelter in Eau Claire.\r\nCarol graduated from Memorial High School with the class of 1962.\r\nShe worked at Uniroyal Cafeteria, and then at The Clairemont where she was a Service Aide for 25 years until her medical retirement in 1999.\r\nCarol was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she served on the Altar Guild. She always enjoyed children, animals, and the outdoors.\r\nSurvivors include two sisters, Betty Jean Stelter of Eau Claire, and Margaret (Gordon) Barton of Arlington, TX; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Stelter of Chippewa Falls, and Sue (Bill) Stelter Anderson of Eau Claire; brother-in-law Leon Dettman of Plano, IL; fourteen nieces and nephews; seventeen great-nieces and great-nephews; one great-great-niece and one great-great-nephew.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert and Richard Stelter; and a sister, Alice "Tootie" Dettman.\r\nMemorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Joel A. Hoelter officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery in the town of Washington. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.\r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
