Caroline Brier, 89, formerly of Eau Claire, died Monday, September 16, 1996 at Lakeside Nursing and Rehabilitation North at Chippewa Falls. She was born September 27, 1906 in Racine, Wisconsin to Nickles and Elecabath (Lazer) Brier. She grew up in the Racine area, and then moved to Boyd as a young woman where she worked as a housekeeper for the Nicolas Willkom family. Caroline later moved to Eau Claire where she worked at the Crossroads Cafe as a baker. She resided many years with Cordeal Willkom at 1022 Third Avenue until moving with Cordeal to the St. Francis Apts. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Cordeal preceded her in death in 1992.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 10 A.M. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father John W. Steiner officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery in the Town of Washington. Friends may call 9:30 A.M. Wednesday until time of services at the church.
