Caroline A. Price, 71, of 420 Heller Rd., Menomonie, died Saturday, September 21, 1996, at the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie. She was born May 24, 1925 in Alma Center, Wisconsin to Oluff and Harriet (Davis) Olson. She graduated from Merrillan High School with the class of 1942. Caroline married Victor H. Connell in April, 1943 in Fall Creek, Victor died in March, 1947. She married William S. "Bill" Price in Merrillan on November 3, 1949. They lived in the Janesville area twenty five years and then Spearfish, SD; prior to returning to the Menomonie area in 1988.\r\nCaroline will be remembered as a loving wife and mother. She enriched the lives of others through her sharing the gift of the quilts she made, as well as her many, many batches of fudge.\r\nShe is survived by her husband, Bill; five sons, Edward Connell of Wheeler, John (Connie) Price of Menomonie, Randy (Robin) Price of Stoughton, Patrick Price of Wheeler and Clinton Price of Madison; three daughters, Marcia (Glenn) Standard of Stoughton, Lori (Steven) Roemhild of Prairie Farm and Beth Ludens of Spearfish,SD; twenty-two grandchildren; a brother, Oluff C. "Mike" (Opal) Olson of Merrillan; a sister, Eva (Ernest) Lane of Eau Claire; many nieces and nephews.\r\nCaroline was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sarah Sutherland in 1972; a son, Victor L. Connell in 1976; a grandson, Tad Connell in 1968 and three brothers, Lloyd, Sherburn and Maynard.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home, Eau Claire with Pastor Paul L. Pillman, the Pastor Care Consultant of the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Eau Claire. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday (Today) and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
