Caroline Grace (Schorr) Shiffer, 77, of Eau Claire died Saturday, November 12, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. She was born in Millersburg, PA on January 31, 1928, the daughter of Frederick and Violet (Martz) Schorr. She graduated from Pottsville, PA High School in 1945.\r\nCaroline married William A. Shiffer, on June 9, 1946, at the Navel Station in Philadelphia, PA.\r\nShe was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd since 1970, where she had been active in Dorcas Circle. She bowled on the Ladybird League from 1970 to 1989. \r\nCaroline worked at Shopko from 1982 until her retirement in 1990. \r\nShe is survived by her son, Frederick (Suzanne Rathke) Shiffer of Menomonie; a daughter, Susan (Steve) Skifstad of Farmington, MN; three grandchildren, Frederick B. (Dana) Shiffer Jr., Valerie Shiffer, and Harold Cram; four great grandchildren; a brother, Edmund W. Schorr of Mt. Joy, PA; brother in law, Edward (Dorothy) Shiffer of New Jersey; and her fiancé, Ferdinand Radtke of Eau Claire. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William in 1981, and a great grandson.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2005, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd with Pastor John A. Hosmann officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg, PA. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the church.
