Charles A. "Chuck" Hestekin, 50, of Eau Claire, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014, at his home in Eau Claire. On September 22, 1963, Chuck was born in Eau Claire to Ronald and Janet (Corrigan) Hestekin. He worked at A-1 Excavating in Bloomer and Aring Equipment in Eau Claire as a mechanic. Chuck loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycle and even mowing the lawn. He had an ability to fix anything and everything, no matter what it was. Chuck enjoyed listening to any story, telling any joke and always having fun with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. Chuck is survived by his two sons, Jesse (Ruth) and Kenny; twin grandsons, Charles and Clayton and granddaughter, Audianne; two brothers, Steve (Jane) and David "Mucka" (Teresa); two sisters, Chris (Barry) Karpe and Terri (Greg) Hauser; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 5p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home WEST CHAPEL, 1405 W. Clairemont Ave. in Eau Claire. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
