Obituary

CHARLES "Chuck" R. Emanuel , 79, of 910 E. Lexington Blvd., died Thursday, October 24, 1996 at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home, Altoona. He was born September 5, 1917 in Fairchild to Herman and Helen (Bramer) Emanuel. He graduated from Fairchild High School and attended Eau Claire Vocational School. Chuck married Beatrice Yancey of Ladysmith on April 18, 1942 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1992. He worked at Walker Bros. Inc., for 41 years until retiring as office manager in 1979. Chuck was an a active member of Epiphany Lutheran Church prior to his illness, having served as an Elder and in other capacities. He served on the board of AARP, Chap. 424. During World War II, he was a member of Eau Claire's state guard unit, Co. L. 3rd Battalion. \r\nSurvivors include two daughters, Suzi Emanuel of San Antonio, TX, and Jane Emanuel of Kalamazoo,MI; three grandchildren, Robert Meinz and Laura (Dave) Roelof both of Kalamazoo,MI, and Marc Emanuel of San Antonio, TX; several nieces, nephews and cousins.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice; and his sister, Harriet E. Franscioni.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 2 P.M. Monday at Epiphany Lutheran Church with Pastor Frederick C. Sauder officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery, Town of Washington. Friends may call 4 to 8 P.M. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.\r\nThe family requests memorials be directed to Epiphany Stain Glass Restoration.
