Charline H. Zuehlke, age 94, of Eau Claire, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Heritage Court Memory Care Assisted Living in Eau Claire. Charline was born on April 27, 1924 in Fairchild, WI to the late Lawrence and Elise Will. After she graduated from Fairchild High School, Charline moved to Eau Claire. She attended Secretarial School and after one semester she started working as a secretary, most recently at Luther Hospital and Technical One Institute. Charline married Eugene W. Zuehlke on August 28, 1948. She was active in Ladies Aid and Bible Study at Epiphany Lutheran Church. Charline belonged to a sewing club, 500 Club and a few Bridge groups. She was an excellent cook and also enjoyed gardening, traveling and golfing. She loved doing and excelled at needlework, especially hardanger embroidery, cross stitch and knitting. Charline is survived by her children, Pamela (Gerald) Gerstl of McFarland, WI, Mark (Brenda) Zuehlke of Black River Falls, WI, and Tim (Tammy) Zuehlke of Strum, WI; grandchildren, Brandon and Justin Gerstl, Melanie Zuehlke Ross, Aaron (Crystal) Zuehlke, Nathan Zuehlke, Tara (Tyler) Zuehlke-Wojcik, Eric and Jayna Jackson; great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Emma Ross, Sydney and Katy Goecks; siblings, Denver (Dorothy) Will and Nona Ludeman; and sister-in-law, Joan Will; and also by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; parents, Lawrence and Elsie Will; brother, Charles Will; grandchildren, Adam Zuehkle and Kyle Jackson. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the WEST CHAPEL location of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave. in Eau Claire. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the WEST CHAPEL. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.
