Clara "Kelly" (Brian) Lund, 104, formerly of Hogeboom Avenue, Eau Claire, died Sunday, July 3, 2005, at the M.B. Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire. Clara was born March 5, 1901, the 8th of 10 children of Hans and Sina Brian in Eleva-Strum area. She married Alfred M. Lund on September 17, 1930, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. \r\nClara has been a member of Grace Lutheran Church for over 75 years and was active in Ladies Aid, Circles and Friendship Club. She worked as an operator for Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company from 1922 to 1930, and at Boyd School for several years.\r\nClara will be greatly missed by daughters, Doris (Ken) Moxness of Fridley, MN, and Lorraine (Mel) Mattson of N. St. Paul, MN; five grandchildren, Rebecca Moxness (Anthony Montgomery) of Minneapolis, MN, Miriam (John) Griffiths of St. Paul, Debra (Bob) Boask of Brooklyn Park, MN, Barbara (Claude) Forshier of Mahtomedi, MN, and Jonathan (Lisa) Mattson of Braselton, GA; beloved great grandchildren, Brian Bosak, Jennifer Hill, and Jaclyn Hill; three step-grandchildren, Lynnda (David) Peterson, Randy (Dawn) Marcott, and Kim (Buddy) McKnight; five step great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; son, Arnold; daughter-in-law, Donna Lund; her parents; three brothers; six sisters; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2005, at Grace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David J. Irgens and Rev. Andrew Boe officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Eau Claire. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services at church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.\r\nA special thanks to all the care givers at the Syverson Lutheran Home who have so kindly taken care of Clara the past 12 years.
