Clara Marie Simington, 87, of Eau Claire, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016, at Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire, under the care of St. Croix Hospice. Clara was born on February 11, 1928, in Hayward, WI, a daughter of William and Leticia (Edwards) Louis. She was raised in the Hayward area. On December 6, 1947, she married Lyle Simington in Cable, WI. Clara spent most of her working life as a waitress, working at Lohman's Steakhouse in Menomonee Falls and Wally's Chalet in Eau Claire. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, camping, fishing and traveling. Clara is survived by her four daughters, Marjorie (Charles) Mack of West Bend, WI, Mary Ann (James) Greunke of Pickerel, WI, Janet Goettl of Altoona, WI, and Lyla (Allen) Omernik of Hudson, WI; son-in-law, David Bullock of Brookfield, WI; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Wilma Hamblin of Oshkosh, WI, and Edie Vollem of Hayward, WI; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle in 2003; daughter, Sandra Bullock in 2015; grandson, Timothy Livingston in 1996; great-granddaughter, Bailee Bullock in 2013; and ten half brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Cornerstone Christian Church, 310 W. Polk Ave. in Eau Claire, with Minister Justin Carter officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016, at the WEST CHAPEL of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral & Cremation Services, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave. in Eau Claire and again one hour prior to the services Saturday at the church. Private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, www.michaeljfox.org.
