Obituary

CLARENCE J. "JOE" SCHNEIDER, 84, of 420 Platt St., died Monday, April 3, 2000 at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born on February 13, 1916 in Eau Claire to Joseph and Ida (Adler) Schneider. Joe graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1934. He married Lillian Sorenson in February 1977 at Stillwater, MN.He worked 42 years at Uniroyal retiring as an inspector in 1979. Joe was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He was a member of United Rubber Workers Local #19.\r\nSurvivors include stepsons, Paul (Joanne) Sorenson and John (Janet) Sorenson both of Eau Claire. seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; four step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; two sisters - in-law, Hazel Hubbard of Altoona, Helen Everson of Eau Claire; a brother-in-law, Victor Hanson of Durand; stepsons and Joe's hunting partners, Thomas (Myrna) Bresina and Gary (Penny) Bresina both of Altoona; step daughter, Jean Ann (Willis) Hawkins of Osseo; and special friend Sylvia Marie Lincoln Olson of Eau Claire; many nieces and nephews;\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian in 1985; his parents; and a sister, Marion.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Pastor Natalie Leske officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church.
