Clarence "Clancy" W. Peterson, 65, of Eau Claire, died Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at his residence. He was born in Chippewa Falls, WI, on December 23, 1950. Clancy married Nancy Mattison on October 20, 1990, in Eau Claire. Clancy was fond of animals and enjoyed watching football and NASCAR racing. Clancy was a very kind man with a great sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Clancy is survived by his wife, Nancy, and his beloved pets. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Clarabelle (Peterson) Velie; and his half-brother, Scott Velie. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with inurnment taking place in Forest Hill Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.
