Clarence L. Wieg, 87, of Eau Claire died Thursday, December 9, 2004, at Dove Healthcare surrounded by his family. He was born in Eau Claire on July 10, 1917, the son of Leonard and Clara (Wangen) Wieg. He graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1936.\r\nClarence was united in marriage to Veronica H. Kunz over 65 years ago at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on May 10, 1939.\r\nHe was a rubber worker at Uniroyal for 43 years until his retirement in 1980.\r\nHe was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing with his family at their lake place at Six Lakes near Chetek for twenty years.\r\nSurvivors include his wife Veronica; son, Jim (June) Wieg of Fall Creek; three daughters, Marlene (Edward) Brown and Kathleen (Steve) Pedersen both of Eau Claire, and Veronica Falkner of Jim Falls; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; and a great granddaughter.\r\nMass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2004, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church with Father John A. Schultz officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
