CLARICE ROSELLA STENZ, 88, 2833 Steven Lane, died Friday, November 21, 1997, at her home. She was born August 3, 1909, to O.A. and Emma (Mikealson) Marum in Modena. Clarice married Elmer Stenz on October 20, 1939, in Dubuque, IA, and in 1940, they moved to Corpus Christi, TX. On March 12, 1946, they had a son, James. After fifteen years in Corpus Christi, Clarice returned to Eau Claire with her son, where she resided the rest of her life. Clarice was employed as a millinery sales manager at the Fashion Store, and then for seven years as a millinery sales manager at Samuelson's. After her retirement, Clarice continued her education and proudly received her high school diploma from Chippewa Valley Technical College in 1991. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church for over thirty years.\r\nSurvivors include her beloved granddaughter, Kelly Stenz of Frisco,TX; and three sisters, Alice Kirk of Durand, Norma McCarthy of Eau Claire, and Olive Marum of Milwaukee; and many good friends.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband Elmer in 1953, a son, James "Doc" in 1995; two brothers, Orville and Gordon; two sisters, Mabel and Alvina Marum.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, at St. John's Lutheran Church, with Pastor Ned S. Lenhart officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.\r\nFriends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
