Obituary

CLIFFORD "KIP" R. WERTH, 85, of Eau Claire, died Monday, October 4, 1999, at Dove Health Care Center. He was born on August 6, 1914 in Eau Claire to Robert and Clara (Lischitzki) Werth. He graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1933. Kip married Grace G. Richelieu on December 4, 1939 in Wabasha, MN.\r\nAfter high school he worked at the CC camp, Camp Fairchild.During World War II, Kip was a welder in the shipyards in the state of Washington. He was meat cutter at Chucks Union Grocery and Shopper's Market. The past three years he worked in groundskeeping at Mill Run Golf Course.\r\nHe is survived by a son, Peter (Sue) of Buckfield, Maine; a brother, George (Geraldine) Werth, Sr. and special friends Dick Holum and Bob Steele all of Eau Claire; and several nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Grace in 1996; and a sister, Lillian Bartlett.\r\nGraveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery in the Town of Washington with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
