Obituary

Clohe B. Larson, 86, of 3226 6th Street, Eau Claire, died Thursday, October 5, 2006, at Luther Hospital. \r\nClohe was born in Eau Claire on March 21, 1920, to Earl and Gertrude (Hermanson) Skamser.\r\nClohe married Marshall (Peanuts) Larson on May 31, 1941, in Eau Claire. Together they raised seven children. Until poor health prevented it, they spent their winters golfing in Texas. \r\nShe was a member of First Lutheran Church, VFW Post #305 Auxiliary, and the Moose Lodge. Clohe and Marshall served as Royal Matron and Royal Patron of the Amaranth. Clohe loved gardening, sewing, ceramics, and oil painting. She was an avid golfer.\r\nClohe is survived by three daughters, Janet Gelein of Rochester, NY, Mary Quinlan of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Sue (Barry) Bernicke of Eau Claire; four sons, Mark (Darlene) of Glenwood Springs, CO, Robert of Drummond, Jim (Jayne) of Augusta, and John of Eau Claire; ten grandchildren, Kristen, Kelly, Dana, Derek, Pam, Ty, Jodi, Erik, Jenny and Chloe; six great grandchildren, Kali, Brody, Sadie, Jamie, Anna, Sara; and numerous nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall; and her parents.\r\nClohe dedicated her life to caring for her family. Her devotion and love will remain in their hearts.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 13, 2006, at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Lutheran Church Cemetery in Eau Claire.\r\n
